The London Behcet’s Centre of Excellence is situated in the Royal London Hospital (Barts Health Trust), in Whitechapel.
Our Clinical Lead is Professor Farida Fortune, who was a driving force in ensuring the Behcet’s Syndrome Centres of Excellence were established. Our clinics take place in the newly built hospital which opened in 2012. Our multi-disciplinary team consists of Consultants in Oral Medicine, Immunology, Ophthalmology, Rheumatology, Neurology as well as a Psychologist, and dedicated Behcet’s nurses.
We currently care for over three hundred patients with Behcet’s and the numbers increase each week.
